Studio Info
Private lessons are a great way to take your playing to an entirely new level. If you’re a beginning student, university bound, or a community player with years of experience, every Heavy Brass player can benefit from studying privately.
While all lesson plans are geared to the individual needs of each student, there are some things that all students can expect:
For beginning students we start with the basics. Tone, Control, Embrochure, and Slide/Valve Technique are all covered, based on the students needs and ability.
If you’re university bound, or a community player we’ll look at your strengths and weaknesses to develop a custom program to help you reach your goals as a player.
In any case you’ll get a program geared to where you’re at and where you want to go. You’ll get personal instruction, immediate feedback, encouragement, and challenges to help you grow.
The studio schedule is based on school year with the main terms running in the fall, winter and spring. There’s also a lighter summer session designed for elementary and highschool students to help them get ready for the next academic year.
Lessons are available in 30, 45, or 60 minute periods on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
